This is my first review, ever. I've been doing business at Haines Pork Store for twenty years. Spare ribs, spiced pork roast and sausage have been favorites over the years. Excellent business they do, that few know of outside this area. They've also provided Fresh Turkeys of all sizes for Thanksgiving and Christmas that Have turned out great, as well.

Unfortunately, today...Thanksgiving, I got a substandard turkey for the first time. The giblet package for making gravy had no gizzard or neck. Yet, I was charged a higher price per pound, than last year. Not only, was I surprised but I called. All I got was a "sorry", we don't know what's in there.

I'm sure the contract that they have with the Turkey farm has expectations of product received. He's supposed to call me back...but I'm not holding my breath! I've got to buy giblets to make gravy now. This was a surprise disappointment, and I hope the quality is not going down hill. I would have put 5 stars before today.
