| About: | For an above-average night out on the town, head to Cafe Madison and its adjoining Waterfall Martini Bar. The atmosphere is spectacular, with grand ceilings and lighting. If you're not feeling decisive, try the Chef's Tasting Menu and enjoy several smaller plates. Or delve into the menu yourself and try, for example, the Rosemary Honey Crusted Rack of Lamb. Cafe Madison is also great for corporate events or social gatherings, so call ahead and reserve a private dining experience! |

We used to love this place: When it changed hands a few years ago, the Madison Pub had the best ribs, wings, mussels, hot sandwiches and side dishes in the area. We looked forward to going every couple of weeks. Then they discontinued my favorite draft Sam Adams beer, the wings were actually served burnt once, the fries arrived cold, and the ribs kept getting smaller and smaller portions. But the last straw was that they changed the menu and wanted to charge $6-7 for my favorite side of garlic spinach rabe. No matter, it was delicious, but becoming less and less garlicky and more like boiled spinach anyway. Too bad, as they spent mucho dollars redoing the inside in beautiful blonde oak, althought the tables are high and use hard stools which are kind of crammed together. The service was always good, too. Too bad.
