This restaurant was the best. We had excellent service, the food was mouth watering. Three of us ordered the steak and cake for $37.95 with the merion potato's. I consider myself a crabcake expert and selected the Maryland version which was excellent, although the waitress brought me a steak knife I was using my butter knife with no problem, cooked to absolute perfection. The merion potatos were out of this world and are definately a must not miss. They put this tomato and corn brushetta looking sidedish that was so tasty on the side along with vegetables perfectly prepared. The kids meals are pricey but are HUGE and definately can be shared. My kids thought the food was great and although the place is very nice and I would dress nicely (business casual) they were very good to my children. They brought their meals out first and very quickly.
My dinner (w/ wine) was approx. $250 dollars. Here's my assessment:
- Diner-type food
- Diner-style service (the servers reach over you, don't come back to pour the wine, etc.)
- The dress is too casual for a fine restaurant
In short, there are too many restaurants in Cape May for me to waste my $$ and time on this one.
We found this restaurant to be WONDERFUL!!!!!!! The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff couldn't be more attentive. Beware, though, it gets packed on weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. Bon appetit!
