Smithville is a great place to go to get lost for the day. It has lots of small shops, crafts, clothing, kitchen sundries and Fred and Ethel's Tavern. There's a B & B inside of the complex there are also lots of antique stores in the area. It is calming, romantic and lots of fun anytime of the year. Its a favorite for us. Beware in coming to the area in the summer time. Atlantic City isn't far away and the traffic can be a killer. Take your GPS and ask it for directions not paying tolls and go back roads. Its a little over the river and through the woods but better than sitting in traffic.
