This past Saturday (Valentines Day) it was crowed, the hostess told us the wait was 45 mins. No problems right? Wrong. The 45min wait turn into 90 mins. This is because of the hostess “bumping-up” know patrons. I saw this 1st hand but only after we were seated. This night my date order surf and turf ($40) Upon cutting into the steak you could tell it was tough, full of tendons or muscle fibers, it was immediately sent back and corrected. My previous visit I ordered NY strip, ($20) it was properly cooked but it was tough, I think it could have been frozen. So for the most part, the food is good, just stay away from their steaks. .Dan, please keep your Hostess honest, no line bumping.

The Anchorage has always been one of our favorite places to eat when we go to ocean city . On our most recent visit we were a little disappointed by the very rude demeanor of the hostess(older blonde woman). My wife asked that we be seated in the porch because we always sit out there because we have two daughters ages 3 and 8 and its really loud at the bar . on this trip to the anchorage we were accompanied by a friend and her two daughters ages 8 and 8 WEEKS . This night the bar was very loud and the 8 week old baby was crying . I asked the hostess(older blonde woman) if we can change tables because of the bar noise and the baby was crying her response was so what and she does not have time for this . As a person that works in the restaurant for 15 years , I was very disapointed by her unprofessional attitude . A hostess is to greet you with warmth and a friendly attitude all the time . Luckily , one of the managers seated us in our choice seating and the dinner was delicious as usual . However they really should school there hostess on hospitality and warmth .

Always good food and tons of fun! We have been going there for years! The kids love it too! I do prefer to sit outside since the bar area can get loud (like any other bar).
