Girasole is a small Italian 'ristorante', tucked quietly away near the Atlantic City Boardwalk. It really is one of AC's hidden gems when it comes to dining. The menu serves up high-quality Italian fare that for the quality is extremely well-priced. The homemade foccacia bread, anti-pasti appetizer and brick-oven fired pizzas are a must. Tradtional Italian fare such as carbonara are excellent choices too! Service is above average for a city which suffers in this category heavily. The atmosphere is intimate and chic, great for small parties, though they can acommodate larger groups too. Far better than most restaurants in the Atlantic City area, including the casinos.
Food is fair, at best, and outrageously expensive for the quality. I do not recomend it. Went there just to try someplace different, and I was sorry I did.
The staff is rude, if your lucky you May get the servers name but do not hold your breath. The bus lady is the one to know, she will get you refills of your Ice Tea and water but if your waiting for your server, well, just bring an oxegen tank. They are quick I might add to give you the check. Avoid

my friends and i just made reservtions at this place for new years. is it really as good as you're asying it is? do you work there or something... you seem to really support this restaurant.
No, don't work there... live/work near DC metro area... my wife and I visit AC a couple of times a year and tried this joint out last visit. It was great! You and your friends will have a good time, but expect the place to be packed. Should be a good place to meet some interesting folks too...
I recently returned to the restaurant and had a near-opposite experience to my original post (see above). Service was extraordinarily slow, staff was unfriendly and food was just okay. I cannot recall what I had, only that the experience was disappointing. So I suppose it is hit-or-miss, and if you go during off-peak times, you will have a better chance for improved service.
