A pretentious, over-priced restaurant: Definitely not worth it. High prices with an attitude. There are better restuarants just steps away. If it weren't for tourists, this place would be out of business. Take it from a local - avoid this place.
A Nice place to take clients...: I've had the opportunity to have dinner a few times at LaHiere's in Princeton. It's a really nice place to take clients, the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The food is exceptionally good, the portions are small but you are receiving a 5-6 course meal.. the pricing isn't good for hanging out with friends or just mingling.. unless you can afford to play like that. The wine list is Phenominal! When in Princeton, be sure to stop by and see for yourself.
Not all that it's lived up to be: This place doesn't live up to its name as Princeton's "best." Virtually half of the things we had picked off the menu they were mysteriously "out of," forcing us to pick some things that we most certainly wouldn't have ordered voluntarily. The service was snooty and not very apologetic at the fact that they couldn't follow through with more than half of our requests. Good wine list, though.
