there is no place like Top Road: ....with it's 50's charm and ambiance there is no other place like this in New Jersey.The place is known in the area for it's mouth watering tomatoe pies , but if you ever there you have to try antipasto salad .....this dish is like a piece of art in itself ...big,beautiful, and delicious.Believe it or not but this place opens at 7 a.m. and is full. They also serv breakfast.Service is excellent with owners always there making sure that customers are happy.I love this place and will defenetly recomend it to anybody who's looking for charming and delicious dinnig or drinking experience. Top Road Tavern is familly restaurant so bring your kids , mom , dad, friend or neighbor.......everybody will love Top Road.

Old World Tomato Pie and Personality: Unlike So many of the restaurants in the area, This hidden treasure is a delight!

The Tomato Pie speaks for itself in volumes! From my understanding, It's an old sicilian recipe which was sacredly handed to the owners by a first cousin of the late vito corleone. The crust is thin and crispy, the cheese is tender and fresh and the sauce is the perfect combination of italian herbs and spices. It makes my mouth water just talking about it! My favorite is the tomato pie topped with fresh italian sausage!

Not only is the tomato pie a treat, the establishment has a liquor license so, a pitcher or two of beer is available. Everybody knows you can't beat a good tomato pie and a ice cold beer. They also offer any variety of mixed drinks and pretty much anything you would want from a fully stocked tavern bar.
It's not uncommon for people to belly-up to the bar and enjoy a tomato pie and their favorite beverage because Top Road has food service at the bar along w/ 4 t.v's to keep you occupied while the oldies play in the background via a beautiful sounding bose surround system.

For a relaxed and enjoyable time with your friends and family, I highly recommend Top Road Tavern. It's a tast of tradition in a place with old world personality.

The best!: The pizza is an authentic tomato pie. Has never disappointed. Prices are reasonable and friendly atmosphere.
