Excellent! This is the best local pizza I ever had in NJ. I go there all the time. More like a family Italian restaurant.

This strip-mall shop doesn't look like much, but once you take that proverbial first bite, pizza will just never mean the same again. I used to go there far too much for my own good and, thus, have a few extra pounds to show for it. I lived in Raritan, so I was surrounded by pizzerias, but I always ventured just a tad further to head over to Dominick's because it was just the best.

So what makes it the best? The crust is what really does it for me. It is thin but not rubbery, and it has flavor - not a fake added-in flavor that some chains have, but the natural flavoring of its ingredients. The sauce is just right, not sweet, not too spicy - like pizza, not barbecue. And then there is the cheese. The cheese is right. You don't get your pie home with a well of oil in the center as you do with the pizza from a lot of other local NJ shops. It is just a perfect balance.

As always, I recommend starting off with a straight cheese pie (or slice) for your testing, but I am sure you'll be sold after that. The stromboli are also excellent. The ambience of the shop isn't much - basically fluorescent and formica, but there is always Italian soccer matches on the tv in the kitchen, and all of the cook staff are Italian. No gyros to be fouund here!
