User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is the creme de la creme of fish markets for maybe the entire county, maybe Warren county too, maybe all of NW Jersey. Mark and his brother are complete piscine fanatics. The variety of seafood they pack into this tiny space is dazzling. Ah....sometimes the prices are as well, but when price isn't an object and you've just got to have that piece of Copper River Salmon or fresh Chilean Sea Bass, this is the place to go! In addition to raw seafood Metro has smoked fish and side dishes and salads, so this is a one-stop for people planning parties. I had their sea scallops last weekend -- I have never had larger or fresher, anywhere!

There is no better place to get fresh seafood without buying it off the boat and eating it on the docks. Metropolitan Seafood Company is a great place with very knowledgeable staff that explain the best way to prepare the fish as well as provide the kind of great service that went out of style years ago. What a refreshing experience. I have used this establishment many times and find it a great place to get sushi quality fish to make it at home with a small group of friends. Ask for them to char broil the salmon skin, it is perfect in a sushi roll and very difficult to do at home without a really hot oven. Don't even get me started on the clean-up. They even sell the tools needed to roll the sushi. I also like to stop by on my way home from work to get a couple of tuna steaks for the grill. They also have a complete catering menu. I have attended several parties and the food and staff were amazing. I am always impressed with the quality of product and the service that makes Metropolitan Seafood the place to go.

If you live within fifty miles of Clinton, NJ Metropolitan is the only place to go for seafood. The owner and operators of this establishment go to any and every length to ensure that your experience is the best it possibly can be. Not only do they provide fresh, hand-cut, hand-picked fish, they will also offer anything you will need to prepare your meal, including detailed and complete cooking instructions. And if you don't feel like doing it yourself they will prepare anything for you. I couldn't reccomend any other place for fresh seafood.
