I really liked the atmosphere at this bowling alley the first time I went here. This alley has so much potential and would be great if it were not for one huge issue: the employees that work there. As it states above and on their front door, the hours are SUPPOSSED to be from 9-12, 12-2, and 9-11, depending on the day and seasonally are due to change. YET, Strike and Spare never ACTUALLY closes later than 11. If you call during the day and ask for the hours, they will tell you the times that are listed above. But, when you call at night, the employee who answers the phone will tell you a completely different time. They decide on their own when they feel like closing, which is usually between 10 and 11. In fact, they will often hesitate and say, “We will probably close around 10:15” for example. This is even the case on Fridays and Saturdays!! Who has ever heard of a bowling alley closing at 10 or 11 Fridays and Saturdays!!!!! If the employees do not feel like working until the time it is supposed to close and would like to leave early, they just change the time. Hey it’s a weekend for them too; they don’t want to have to work late. I do not know if the owner knows what is going on here, but if he does he is losing a lot of business. The employees who work at Strike and Spare need to get their acts together. My suggestion to you, the customer, would be to arrive as early as possible so that you play more than one game before getting kicked out.
