Home Town Buffet

I have been to the Hometown Buffet many times and was sad that the Freehold and Old Bridge locations closed up. Now I see that the Edison location has gone into some strange business habits and I doubt that any locals will bother going anymore. I went with my family the other night at 4:45 and was forced to stand for over 30 minutes while 30 tables were held open for special bus customers. The manager, Dee, was rude and not at all helpful, and the hostess, Sha Sha, uttelry useless. I can't be bothered with this place anymore!

Great food at a good price.: Great food at a great price. Weekend breakfast is the best deal in town Best deal in town for breakfest on the weekends. The food is good all the time. Senior discount & friendly staff. Great variety

Place is so crowded during breakfast/lunch time. The foods run out too fast (like a pack of wolves reaching out for food) and some foods aren't even fresh like the fruit. You have to be aggressive to get the food as a customer, otherwise, other people will cut in front of you.
If you would like a less crowded, less noise, and more relaxed atmosphere, go during the evenings. Dinner prices are more expensive but it pays off.
If you don't mind a little more driving, go to the "Old Country Buffet" in Freehold, NJ. It is quieter and less crowded (more food too! and more selections) and the staff is friendly.
