    The place is small so make reservations or go during off-peak hours. I agree with some posters that the ratings are somewhat one sided, but in both directions! Pi's can't be compared to top sushi restaurants and should compare with what it is, a small local restaurant for casual patrons. In all fairness, I'll rate Pi's similar to the zagats system. Food = 4 stars, Decor = 3 stars, Service = 4 stars, Price = 3 stars. Overall I'd give this place 3.5 stars against other local restaurants in the area. Portions are usually pretty decent and relatively consistent in quality and freshness. Compared to other sushi places nearby I would give Fujiyamama 3.5 stars also (could be higher if more consistent in food quality), Ajian 4 stars (now closed) and Shogun 3 stars (very average, but nice decor). I have never had 5 star Japanese food locally, mainly because its virtually impossible to have the best ingredients without charging premium bucks. Very much so worth the visit if you are in town, and its nice to have byob and bring your own sake.

    I have to agree with SKlepner that this yahoo rating of 4.5 is misleading and is obviously inflated. In terms of the freshness and presentation, this restaurant gets 2 stars from me. In terms of the service, I give it 1 star since we were asked to move to another table for customers who had just arrived.

    Ignore these reviews. I have posted my opinion three times that Pi's is average and it gets deleted. I think that if someone complains about a post it gets tossed. Too bad because it therefore provides misleading information. Even though it's Yahoo, it still shouls provide a balanced amount of info. So, since I am not allowed to provide a lukewarm review of that place (I wonder who would complain so much, btw....ahem...hi Pi), lets just say it blows away Masa, Nobu, and Sushi Yasuda and then we can all wake up together in the same bed!
