    We stopped in for lunch. All I needed was soup. My friend got a steak sandwich special. The food was fresh, came prepared correctly and was hot.

    My soup tasted like my Grandmother's

    No the sandwhich did not come out in fifteen seconds, it took a few minutes, like they actually made it to order.... Imagine that... (YES this is a good thing!)

    The staff was great, friendly and courteous.

    I plan to come back here on one of the days that my wife and I can meet for lunch and to come back again with co-workers.

    Would I recommend the Midtown? I already have.

    We decided to try this spot for lunch after reading the previous two reviews. I had the California cheeseburger deluxe and hubby had the Pastrami Reuben Deluxe. Our entire bill came to $12 plus tip! Service was great, and hubby is still talking about how "Goo-ood" his sandwich was.

    It reminded me a lot of Cheers because everyone seemed to know each others' names! :)

    Really good food, cute ultra-Americanana decor (the kind that Applebees wishes they had) and nice little old ladies who serve you. Try the King Club, if you can wrap your mouth around it :)
