| About: | In business since the mid-80s, O'Hara's Restaurant and Pub, located less than a half block from the Liberty Street side of Ground Zero, reopened a few months after the tragic collapse of the Twin Towers. Fortunately, for its loyal patronage, O'Hara's is back full-swing as an Irish pub and sports bar that serves American-style fare at reasonable prices. Once again, there is fun and frolic in the air. |

From Ohio. Stopped in on a cold and windy Saturday in November after visiting GZ with my new bride. What a great find! The surroundings were nice, the food and beer very good, (especially the potato soup)and the bartender and locals were very friendly. They even showed us a scrapbook of what the place looked like after 911 (Wow) and recommended a good off broadway show to go see. Sure took the chill off a cold Nov. day. Stop in if you get a chance, you'll like it!
What's Not To Love: A Financial District hot spot is known for its amazing platers and "man glass" drinks. When a few of the regulars were asked why they loved it so much I received the following answer:
Jenee T. - "I LOVE PLATTER."
Kate F. - "It doesn't have DJais napkins.... but it is the home of the Man's Glass"
Ronald McHealey - "They let you put 3 straws in a man's glass."
Flava Flav - "Yo Yo, I love shots of Patron."
JCGB - "I ahh dunno where I am.... but I love it...they have Coors Light and Golden Tee"
