Excellent restaurant! Indian food served "tapas" style by an innovative chef who can bring the unique flavors of India to life. Must visit if you are in NYC.
Bread Bar - Must Go: If you like Indian flavors but would like to see how they could be put to use in new & interesting ways, get yourself over to Madison & 25th and sample away at the excellent Bread Bar on the ground floor. The restaurant proper on the second floor is very pricey but exquisite, however first timers would be perfectly well off below at Bread Bar. Have been here several times and always come away raving about the experience. Somewhat limited but very good specialty cocktail menu as well.
Not impressed: Went there for restaurant week tonight. I've read mixed reviews about this restaurant but I still decided to give it a try given that their reservation is pretty hard to get. If you are thinking of indian food, this might not be the place to go. I would call this an 70%American food +30% Indian food. For $35, the food that they served really filled me up but I wasn't satisfied. I don't think I will go back again.
