| About: | This legendary little dance dive in the East Village hosts some of the best '80s nights in the city. On Thursday Remission and Friday 1984 , you will hear plenty of New Order, Depeche Mode, Bauhaus and Roxy Music (no New Kids on the Block, thank you very much.) The fun-loving crowd is a mixture of gays and straights, some of whom danced here when the music was new. Many people are discovering the scene for the first time. This was was amazing! I met Depeche Mode in there in 1988, shortly after moving to the States. What fantastic memories. Very happy to see it is still around.
This place is amazing. It has survived the test of time and I hope it remains. I have been going here for the past 14 years for great music and dancing. The names of the evenings have changed, but the spirit remains the same. Thanks guys, and please remain!!
Nice Place: Great music, nice stafff...mixed drinks are terrible. Stick to the beer. Nice place to meet before hitting the town.
