Cafe Asean

Company Information: Cafe Asean is a Southeast Asian restaurant featuring Vietnamese and other dishes from the region, including a fair representation of Malaysian and Thai cuisine. Try Gado Gado , a salad of vegetables, tofu and rice cakes smothered in peanut sauce, or ikan bakar , filet of snapper with coconut lime sauce. The staff do their best to please and provide very prompt service. There is a garden in the back that adds an alluring touch to the entire decor. What sets this place apart from others is that it lacks the frenzied pressure of a lot of New York eateries.

   I just discovered this little restaurant and I love it. Each time I go I order something different and I am never disappointed. My favorite little restaurant in the City!

   A little pricey, a little more upscale, intimate and fancier than their Chinatown counterparts. The garden in the back is definitely 'romantic'.
   The menu is not large but more creative than the others. Not a bad place for a date.
