| About: | After visiting the trendy clothing boutiques and jewelry shops lining the streets of Nolita, you will not have far to go to reach this small but handsomely decorated Australian restaurant, Eight Mile Creek. The staff is full of warmth, and the menu features items you would have difficulty finding anywhere else in New York City. The Kangaroo Salad, for starters is a hit!. The wine list of Australian labels features plenty of good deals, and there is a lively bar area downstairs where you can order anything available on the restaurant's menu. Open from Monday to Friday from 5pm and 11am onwards Saturdays and Sundays. |

Bad trip: I've visited this restaurant once but ... I was there at 5 pm when it should have been opened. It wasn't ready yet, however, and I was told that it would in half an hour so I left. My advice is to stay away of this restaurant.If this is the way they run their business then count me out. There are plenty of restaurants in NY(and maybe some Australian ones too) that one doesn't have to wait half an hour in, aren't they?
So goodbye Eight Mile Creek and all the worst. 
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsGreat food, good atmosphere: The bar is very laid-back with a very friendly crowd. Plus, happy hour was a great deal, $3 house wines, drafts, and well drinks...not bad!
