Alma de Cuba is an amazing establishment, the staff is always warm and friendly and I must say that the manager has bent over backwards to satisfy his customers. This is a great place for tourist to go to as it offers authentic spanish cuisine and a great ambiance that sizzles with flavor, and a mixture of pleasantries. Not to mention the mind blowing life band that keeps the place on fire. Best days to attend are Fri, and Sat. Definately something to check out.
Don't go.: Horrible customer service! In a city with thousands of great restaurants, why dine at one with a rude manager who does not have the slightest idea about good custumer service?
Loved it, felt like we were in little havana!: I found this restaurant online and wondered how we passed it so many times without trying it out. The food was amazing. I was full by the main course but managed to save room for dessert. The Sandwich Cubano was better than any found in Little Havana, Miami. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants truly authentic Cuban food and a great time.

This poor soul does not know good food or a great establishment when he attends one. Sorry Gus but I agree that the customer service can be iffy. I am crom California and I used to go to Alma de Cuba everytime I went to NYC. The last time I went the person at the door was VERY rude. There was a black young man and he was refused a seat. Then it was our turn. I was dressed TOO casually for him and he wouldn't seat us (it was a VERY hot summer evening and we literally had just arrived off the plane an hour before). Too bad, we used to eat there a couple of times during our visits and have spent thousands there over many years but I agree, TOO RUDE. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
