Tops for its lunch specials!!!!
Try the twin doubles, choose one pastrami, one corned beef, you wont be sorry.
A fine authentic `60s deli.
I have systematically tried all of the big name pastrami place in NY - Sarge's wins by a landslide. Awesome homemade (not just home boiled-steamed like the other places) pastrami. I do not know about service because I always get the stuff and take it home to Queens (its better than even the welll known pastrami places on Queens Blvd).
WHAT A WASTE OF A LOT OF MIS-SPENT MONEY!!! How did this place ever get a good rating??? Half the food was cold and the other half was inedible because it was too tough to chew (chicken fingers!! and also was burned all over) The service was so bad that for the first time in my life I didn't even leave a tip,a nd I am not a young person either, so I have left many a tip. The waiter spilled chicken fingers on the floor and instead of picking them up he just kicked them under the table!! He also spilled melted butter all over my expensive jeans and didn't make any attempt to apologize or even give me something to wipe them off. We went there because of the good reviews, but STAY AWAY!!! You will be very disappointed.
