Whenever I come here, I never know what to order, because everything is so good. It's a nice little place that offers some good food.
If you like panini, this is the place for you. The best thing about this place is the wide selection of both bruschetta and panini. A salad, a glass of Chianti and umm, umm, good eatinâ.
Donât get discouraged trying to find this place. It is tucked away on Bedford street just north-west of the confluence of West Houston and 6th Ave., about mid-block between 6th Ave. and Downing St.
The space is very small but quaint. Waiting for a table is very worth it and there is almost always a little space at the bar. A very friendly and energetic staff greets you at the door. Have a glass of wine at the bar as you wait. If you choose to wait just outside, Bedford St. is a nice, quiet neighborhood, a good place for good conversation with friends.
Inside, it is a friendly, neighborhood atmosphere with simple wood appointments everywhere, the bars, the tables and the walls. Be prepared to sit shoulder to shoulder with a stranger. Everyone is friendly. I am not fond of sweet things with meat like pork and apples or figs and prosciutto as they had in this cafe. The friendly and bubbly waitress helped me choose a delicious panini, mozzarella and tomato. The bread is always fresh and toasted lightly to give a nice crispy exterior.
Try it out, let me know what you think. Hopefully, you will have the same great experience I did. Bon Appetit!
