I have been to Ravagh many times, its very tasty persian food, their shishkabobs are marinated just right, their fesenjoon is to die for, and of course perfect basmati rice, portions are good and you leave with satisfaction of having tasted good persian food and reasonable enough to take the whole family . service is a bit slow, but lets face it as long as you are not in rush, you are suppose to eat slow(remember the slow food movement ;) , their zolobia bamieh are sometimes stale, but great tea and good persian music you want to get up and dance with(which we do sometimes:).

The food is fantastic across the board. I have eaten at other Persian/Greek/Middle Eastern restaurants and Ravaugh beats them all, hands down. Their price to portion ratio is perfect. Granted I have only eaten at the Roslyn location, however, based upon my consistently excellent experience there I expect that the 30th street location is just as good. I have yet to be disappointed with the food. The service can be slightly spotty when they get busy in terms of the length of time it takes for courses to be served and for servers to attend the table. This is not necessarily a bad thing since with a meal like this you are sitting with family and don't feel rushed. The salads are always fresh and delicious, the kabobs are spiced to perfection, the stews are fantastic and the rice is better than anywhere I've ever eaten. I don't like salmon...but their salmon kabobs are phenomenal. My favorite is their gheimeh (sp?) stew over white rice. You can order a variety of kabobs family style where they will bring all the kabobs on one platter and a choice of rice varieties (basmati, dill, cherry) on another. I have brought many guests and we later find out from them that they have become regulars. Parking can occasionally be challenging but there is additional space up around the back of the building next to the restaurant. Enjoy.
