My husband and I love Franchia and try to include a meal there whenever we're in NYC. We first heard about it from online reviews and it sounded so good that we decided to give it a chance. The food is excellent -- wonderful flavors and combinations of flavors! The ingredients are fresh and cooked just right. Franchia is also affordable, especially for an excellent restaurant on Park Avenue. Yesterday was the first time we ate there in beautiful weather, and we sat outside. That was so lovely! The entire meal was a delightful experience.

Franchia is a little known gem. The decor is gorgeous, especially the ceiling. Try to sit in one of the tiered balconies if you can just to be closer to it. The food is inventive and delicious. I've been there many times and had the same servers over and over again (a good sign that the management isn't treating them poorly) and they're always exceptional at describing the unique food and making recommendations. Their sweet manners contribute to the soothing shrine-like atmosphere that I go to Franchia for. (And the tea, excellent selection.)

We just held my sister's wedding shower at Franchia and it was a huge success. The service was wonderful, as well as the food and atmosphere. We were thrilled with the party. I would reccommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a unique, elegant space for a bridal shower party.
