Some of the best pub food I've come across. Great fish & chips. In fact everything on the menu is consistently yummy. Unpretentious atmosphere. Very good bartenders. The only thing that keeps me from giving the place 5 stars is that service at the tables can, on occasion, be mediocre. I usually eat at the bar.

Excellent Food -- Leagues above typical pub grub: McCormack's is a great place for a superb, thick and juicy New York strip steak for about $21 (which -- unlike the big steakhouses -- includes a baked potato and crisp, fresh string beans). The dining room is cozy with a nice decor and warm ambience -- great for a date. The Filet of Sole Francese is also very good, and so is the Pot Roast which is often on the specials menu --tender and delicious, like Mom used to make (both of these dishes are under $17). Also great burgers, fish and chips, etc. Too bad places like this don't get mentioned in Zagat's -- this is like home cooking and the owner really seems to care about the quality. And you feel like you really got your money's worth when you leave. We have actually gone there for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner and it was outstanding.
