I enjoyed it. It was nice to go to a place with such a heralded history. The wine selection was amazing, but this place is known for their unbelievable hamburgers. I also enjoyed learning about the 2-ton door that was triggered with a meat skewer to open in order to hide patrons during prohibition. Great history and good vibe here. Service was also great. Check it out you won't be disappointed. I'm going back there this winter. Can't wait!

I recommend reading the article "One Word I Hate...Prohibition" on Greenfaucet. The guy there did a great review of this place with pics in the Lifestyle section.

Join the "21" Club!: You can't miss this landmark brownstone on W 52nd St., not with its numerous jockeys lining the grand staircase and balcony.
I have been here a few times, and I have yet to be disappointed.
Great atmosphere, excellent food, and good service. They also have the "Upstairs" if you care for an intimate setting. Gentlemen, wear a tie if you're coming for dinner.

Every visitor to NYC must eat here at least once: This clubby hangout, which began life as a speakeasy in the 1920s, was Joan Cawford's favorite place to dine in the city. Great steaks, chops, and sides. Marvel at the $32 hamburger! The service is perfect yet glacial, so don't be in a hurry. Eddie counts the filet mignon among the world's best.
