Company Information: This Midtown cafe sets itself apart by making a huge selection of newspapers and magazines from around the world available to its customers. The many international patrons appreciate this perk, and the periodicals can either be read on site or purchased. The cafe itself is pretty standard, offering American coffee along with espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha and herbal teas. Bagels, soup and sandwiches can be had as well. The cafe delivers and does corporate catering.

   Manhattan has a relatively new chain of sorely
   needed newsstands. Of the ten stores, even
   the smallish two have a big, airy, clean
   brasserie-like atmosphere, a see-touch-buy
   milieu. Mag and paper racks from floor to
   ceiling, of minimalist design to fit eveything in:
   business, military, science, diplomacy, etc., but
   no porn. Coffee and pastries, at café tables
   at many stores; Internet at some.
   They carry the elite daily, weekly and monthly papers from abroad; the top news, business and fashion mags too. Some carry books: thriller novels and serious nonfiction touching on global issues (the stores are Arab-owned and -operated. Whom I
   thank for their great contribution to our, and
   their, community).
