| About: | One of the few live jazz venues on the Upper West side, Prohibition tends to attract a twenty-to thirty-something crowd of suburbanites and couples. It is a large, sophisticated space (for the neighborhood) that contains multiple bars, lounging areas and a pool table. The bars are well stocked, and it is a premium cocktail kind of place. Altogether, Prohibition is a very classy alternative to the multiple college bars located nearby. |

User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsCan't wait to go back in the summer!!: I went out last night to celebrate a colleagues birthday and I had a wonderful time. The bartender was on point and the appetizers were very tasty. The overall ambiance was very sophisticated. Around 11:00 p.m., the live band started to play and I was quite impressed!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMini burgers galore: Probably more people come here for the live music every night, but we had a great time on a quiet Monday evening pre-performance, slamming down mini-burgers, which are a good deal at $10 for a pair of decent-sized puppies. Try the Teriyaki turkey and mini steak burritos. Blueberry mojitos were a surprising hit too. Good vibe/decor, great pool table in rear.
