User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDwight Driving School is an excellent driving school. In my opinion it is the best in NYC. George Kwang was my driving instructor. He was professional and his years of experience were obvious from the first lesson. George taught me more than just how to drive to pass the road test. I also got to drive at different times of day and night. I wear glasses so it was great to see the difference between day and night driving. George is extremely patient and has a unique way of teaching, but it is one that works. His prices are amazing compared to other driving school in NYC. The introductory course was great. George actually recommended a package to fit my driving needs not just the most expensive one like another school tried to do to me. I took 6 lessons package with the 5-hour class and passed the road test no problem. I only had about 2 hours of driving experience before that. If you have trouble with parking you wonât anymore after a lesson with George. George also is extremely flexible. He gives lessons from 7 AM to 12AM so if you have a tight schedule it works out. Also I was able to fit all my lessons and the driving test into two months. What other driving school can do that. My brother is now taking lessons with George and agrees that he is an exceptional instructor.

George Kwang was great. I took the $10 introductory course and continued on with his $35- 5-hours per-licensing course + 20 worth of classes (1 class is 45 min) package ($540) before I took and passed my first driving road test!
As an instructor, George taught me to drive not only to pass the road test but also some tips for everyday driving, which I think is a plus! For a first-time driver (never drove before George) to passing the test just after a month or so practice George definitely did an excellent job.
The driving school lose a star because George was always late (about 15 min to 20 min usually). However, since he was the ONLY driving instructor at the school I could tolerate and understand why he was late. The other cons as a one man driving school, George has to schedule classes from 7 AM to 12 AM! I was fine with this because I was a recent college graduate who has a month off before my job started so...
If you are someone that has a tight schedule and do not want very early classes or late night classes (although I thought it was fun to learn driving in several different conditions) then please go to the other driving schools.
But if you could be flexible with your time and you want the most affordable and cheapest driving classes then Dwight Auto is your best choice! -

This school was great! George is a very good instructor and he teaches right techniques which make driving (for the road test and real life as well) very easy and safe. He is also very patient and punctual. I passed my driving test on the first attempt after taking 6 classes. I only had a total of about 2 hrs of driving experience before that. I would definitely recommend George to anyone trying to get a driving license in NY.
