The initial shock on entering the bar subsides quickly as you blend into the crowd of dancers, wannabe musicians, businessman, and swarthy-looking Times Square crowd. The staff wastes no time in pleasantries and gets to the 'pint'. But what Rudy's lacks in chicness, it makes up in friendly and warm attitude. Many a tourist have found solace in the cheap drinks (ask for Rudy's Red) and unpretentious surroundings. |

User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsRudy's is the Best: This place is an eclectic mix of people from all walks. The music box is great, the drinks are reasonable priced and the enviroment is relaxing. I recommend this as a place to visit. Just watch out for the SUPER hand blower in the restroom, everyone will know if you don't wask your hands!
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe bar of the world!: five friends and myself were at rudys before we left for Iraq the people were great the enviroment was great and the staff was awesome the bartender took great care of us as well as the patrons i can honestly say we did not pay for a drink all night nor did we lack for good company in addition the door man was larger than life with the heart of a teddybear but he could turn into a grizzly! thank you rudys you reminded us why we fight-your life long occaisionly there fan Rudy

Get away from the day crowd: Dive on in and enjoy the company of non-tourists. Living in midtown I get slowed down by the tourists strolling the sidewalks looking up here and there.
Rudy's gives me a break from all that. Kick back and enjoy the libations.
