    This is my favorite NYC sushi restaurant and one that I eat at every business trip. Great sushi, lightning fast service, good location, great atmosphere - theatre crowd and actors. Good value. Appropriate for business dinners as well. HIghly recommend.

    Theater District Hidden Treasure: Right opposite the Hirschfield Theater [formerly the Martin Beck], Kodama is convenient to the theater crowd. Its considerable number of regulars attest to the quality of the food. Ambiance? Maybe not the best... for that you can drop $300 at Masa per person. You don't eat ambiance. Sushi has to be fresh and delicious. At Kodama the menu is quite wide. Best treat? The Green Tea Milk crepes for dessert. Not into fish? Try the best and crispiest vegetable tempura in NYC. They also make potato latkes but call them "croquettes"--served with a modest amount of meat inside. This is a place you come back to. Try it.
