| About: | This lively Hell's Kitchen bar and restaurant brings a little bit of the Louisiana Bayou to New York City. It is a great Southern restaurant featuring a lively bar, with the room painted to resemble a wharf building. The long bar area is usually crowded with drinkers, and the place can get very loud. Crab cakes, blackened catfish and other spicy Cajun entrees are popular. The best dish of all may be the cornbread that is placed on every table. Beware, the drinks are strong. |

User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThe decorations and ambience inside the Delta Grill are spot on. However, the service, and worst yet, the food, was a bitter disappointment.
I ordered the Muffuletta, and it came out toasted to a point where the bread was dry and brittle. The meat inside the bun was cold, and the olive dressing wasn't too impressive. The cornbread muffins, though not really that important, were also cold.
When I told the manager, all he did was apologize... He didn't offer to replace my order or do anything to make my experience better. I paid my $25 and got the heck out of this place.
I'd avoid this place for anything but a drink at the bar.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNa'lins meets Manhattan: A bunch of my girlfriends & I visited the Delta Grill and all of us left satisfied. The fish, the chicken, the pork chops, sweet potatoes & jalepano corn fritters were awesome. It's not one of the largest restaurants in the area, but we were all reasonable comfortable. The atmosphere was great also. The check was $100 for 5 of us, so definetly a great deal.
User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsCajun Delight: Born and raised in Louisiana, I've searched the city to find a great Cajun restaurant and I found Delta Grill. Food was fantastic and they even sell New Orleans beer! Nothing beats my Grandma's cooking, but Delta Grill comes close.
