Battery Park at the tip of Manhattan Island is a hub of venues in it's own right.A mere hop and a skip from Wall Street or the Liberty Plaza's Ground Zero the Park is the doorstep to the Customs house to the east which includes the Ameriacan Indian Museum and the Marina and prudential Complex on the west. Fort Clinten at the Parks southwestern point is the gateway to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty and to the south east is the State Island Ferrywhich is worth the ride night or day for the view. Don't worry about food either as the area is packed with everything to satisfy qany pallette.

Battery Park City Parks: Along the hudson river, Battery Park City has risen from the ashes of 9/11 to become a popular location and newest Manhattan hotspot for a good family life. Sprinkled with parks throughout it has become a breath of green in the lower Manhattan area. A new Dog Run on the northside highlights the extended family unit attracting dog lovers from around the area. The highlight of this zone is the Promenade that runs the full length of Battery Park city and compliments the route from Chelsea Piers to South Ferry Terminal. Spring through the Fall are the most entertaining times with live outoor performances and plenty of space for all ages.
