I have been using LCG for about three years on a number of VWs. Considering how strange these cars can be and how unresponsive the manufacturer can be, I have been VERY happy with the level of service and professionalism that they have offered to me.
In particular, they have a good understanding of the workings of my Eurovan, one of the more complicated vehicles that VW has produced and I never think twice when I drop the car off for any service that it may require.
Well done, gentlemen.
These guys truly know VW/Audi cars and do their job well!
I am a life-time admirer of these cars and being reasonably familiar with car repairs and having seen or heard all these horror stories about various mechanics, I maintained all my cars on my own until I moved to this area.
Dave, Chris and John are so different from what I've seen elsewhere! Firstly, they specialize on VWs and Audis and they know these cars from inside out. When you leave your car to them, you can be sure that they will do the right thing to it. Always! They won't repair or replace things that don't need to be done, but will do the right thing to your car.
When you get your car back from the Last Chance Garage, not only you WON'T find the usual (from other mechanics and often dealers) stripped threads, overtightened bolts, misplaced or wrongly installed parts. You will get a good value for your money as they would do the job right and often, while at it, suggest to you (and perform) the additional repairs that come along handily with the main job. And not some random stuff to inflate your bill but truly the jobs that is a good idea to do as they come hand-in-hand with the main task with little or no extra labor on their part (and, thus, reasonably on your wallet.)
As I still mostly work on my cars myself (taking them to these guys only for the major things, like clutch or, sometimes, timing belt), I often need to buy parts and I happily use the Last Chance Garage as my parts' source. They stock many parts (and always from good brands) or they would get the parts for me from their suppliers, and their prices for parts are reasonable too.
I am very glad that this VW repair shop in this area ever since I moved here.
Great and Professional Service: A great experience is getting my 2000 Jetta repaired. Service was done quickly and at a reasonable price. This shop seems to have it all -- honesty, integrity and great knowledge of VWs.
