Fantastic Restaurant Near Home: I'm surprised that nobody rated this restaurant yet. I'd recently moved to the neighborhood, and was scouting restaurants around town. If I walked into this one with skepticism, I was no less than astounded with the quality of food when I left.

It can probably be argued as a top tier restaurant even in competitive Manhattan. The foie gras, the duck leg confit, even just the vegetable soup were done with careful attention and heart. The desserts were no less impressive. The owners obviously care a lot, as it is reflected not only in the food, but also in the decor and service. I am glad that we have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. It is a gem of a dining experience close to home.

The price is rather reasonable for the food. Some may find it expensive, especially if you get a few drinks to go with your meal and desserts. However, I think you will find that it's well spent.
