Maria's Italian Pizza

I work near this pizzeria. I have always loved it & thought it was some of the best pizza since I moved up north from the Bronx. They are under new ownership & quite frankly the pizza is not nearly as good as it used to be. They changed their pizza recipe & I think they are using inferior cheese. I was a loyal luncher for many years & am very disappointed. Wish the old Maria's was back. At least I can get good pizza where I live at Cacciatore's Trattoria

I have been going to Marias for almost 20 years. Until the new ownership (or whatever change they have made) took over it was the best pizza place I have ever been to. Recently it seems they have changed the way they make some of their products and have begun to skimp on some of the ingredients. The staff has always been friendly and courteous, now it seems like they are under pressure to do the same. Marias was always known by me and the people I grew up with as being an original place, now it seems they are trying to cater to the yuppy trash in Westchester who want wood paneling and brick oven pizza, instead of the Yankee game and a great slice. If they keep up the changes they will be out of business in 2 years, instead of being a staple of Yorktown Heights. If you have been around here for a while you know exactly what I am talking about, pretty soon they will have the Red Sox game on and serve shellfish.

Great pizza...!!: Service and pizza is terrific. Possibly the best slice in Westchester!!!
