Tried this for the first time yesterday. Delicious tea and scones, quick and friendly service, adorable individual teapots. We didn't try the meals, but I can't wait to bring my mom here for afternoon tea!

I found Yahoo reviews by accident and I cannot believe that one of the reviews is actually titled 'Don't try this one' - what nonsense. This tearoom is a comfortable, friendly environment reminiscent of another era when customers at different table engage each other in conversation over refreshing and aromatic pots of hot teas - and what a selection this place has! Every time I visit I come home with another bag od tea to enjoy (my new favorite!) As I have said before it is sad to see the internet become a medium where people believe they have the right to spew nonsense because they are protected by anonymity. You must try this delightful place for yourself. I promise you will be coming back!

Don't try this one . . .: My mother and sister took me out to this tea room for my birthday recently. We were very unhappy with this place. The portions were scant. We tried to return an order because the dish was too spicy, but the owner would not hear of it. She came across as quite condescending as well. I wouldn't recommend this tea room to anyone.
