   MoreIn the year 1895, the King’s Daughters Society, a charitable organization moved a petition to create the Haverstraw King’s Daughters Public Library in Haverstraw, New York. It was in the year 1903 that the Folwer Library Building was opened. It is one of the oldest chartered public library in Rockland County, and was constructed with brick from Mr. Folwer’s backyard. In the year 1991, this building was added to the New York State Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places. The library has state-of-the-art equipment, several public computers, rooms for tutors and programs, a gallery, and spaces to cater to the needs of the community. Less
