The only thing I liked about this place was the atmospere. It was basically empty at 6:40 on a Sunday night and now I know why.
1. NO kids menu. Not even a cheap alternative on the appetizers list. Had to pay about $10.00 for a small pizza for my 9 yr old to eat.
2. Burned nachos...came out with dry, hard meat that smelled. Even cheese was burned. I am shocked that this dish even made it out of the kitchen.
3. Sent back nacho's and reordered them. Another dish came out with the same hard smelly meat, minus burned cheese. Waitress did not stick around to see if they were acceptable.
4. I noticed the few tables with people nearby left about half their food on their plates and refused to have it wrapped. I am not surprised.
Overall, nice place, horrible food. Find a better chef and waitress and I would love to come back.
WORST BURGER EVER -My ruined burgers tasted better: Rode up on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. I wanted to try the place everyone raved about. I ordered the Barnsider Bacon Cheeseburger with onion rings (the burger comes with fries.)
The fries and onion rings were crispy and not greasy, but the burger - it was the worst burger ever. It was a premade flat burger, dry and tasteless. The bacon was overcooked and so tough you could not bite it.
Unless everyone had a different menu than I had or was drunk enough to not notice the food, I will never go back nor will I recommend this place.
Great Food, Great People, Great Craic!: We stumbled in one Friday evening and were delighted to find an informal traditional Irish music session going on in the corner of the Pub. We had a fabulous meal and made some great friends of the staff and management. We now try to make it every Friday night even though it is nearly an hour and a half drive.
