About:	Shackleton's Restaurant is a steakhouse offering continental cuisine, a dining experience to stimulate the senses. Shackleton's has an inviting atmosphere of rich wood paneled walls, complete with lace curtains & muted lighting; the perfect atmosphere for relaxing. If you prefer you may also dine at Shackleton's 50 foot mahogany bar. Start dinner with mouth-watering appetizers, like our SHRIMP WRAPPED IN BACON, served in a light garlic cream sauce with melted mozzarella, or how about the colossal shrimp cocktail...largest in the area! The BAKED CLAMS are already famous. Choose from a variety of premium steaks including tender Filet Mignon, Roquefort Steak (Madeira, cream & blue cheese) or Steak Au Poivre, New York strip steak sauteed in crushed peppercorns with cognac & a touch of heavy cream. The 20oz. Porterhouse Steak, piled high with crispy onion strings, will satisfy the hungriest diner. Fresh seafood, delivered daily, is featured on our "Special Menu."

Great food, large variety of choices, reasonable prices, generous portions. One of our favorite 'go to" places. Parking in back and handicap access.

A easy night out with the friends: If you are looking for something low-key, Moderate, and friendly go to Shackletons Pub. Love the service and atmoshpere - A Irish type pub on Hempstead Turnpike.
