About:Morton's The Steakhouse, the nation's premier steakhouse group, specializes in classic, hearty fare, serving generous portions of USDA prime aged beef, as well as fresh fish, lobster and chicken entrees. Morton's is famous for its animated signature tableside menu presentation: steaks, whole Maine lobsters and other main course selections, along with fresh vegetables, are presented on a cart rolled to your table, where the server displays and describes each menu item in appetizing and entertaining detail. The menu, which is the same at all locations, features a variety of favorite cuts, including a 24 ounce porterhouse, which is the house specialty; a 20 ounce New York sirloin and a 14 ounce double cut filet. Every Friday and Saturday nights, enjoy our famous slow roasted Prime Rib. Morton's Prime Rib is a double cut, served bone-in and roasted to a perfect medium rare.     I am so tired of reviewers who compare second rate steakhouses to top tier ones, and use criteria which they control, but choose to pawn off on the resturant. Need a medium steak? Tell the wait staff exactly how you want it cooked, period. If the steak is that important to you, do not leave the prep work to the waiter - medium means different things to different chefs. Make your point clear, they will respect you for it and you will then never have problems with unattentive wait staffers again. Morton's is a clean, well runned operation with outstanding food prepared as I request it. And, whether it be the Morton's on Long Island, NYC, CT, LA or Venus, its all the same - in this business, consistency is success. So if you MB gets nicked by the valet, don't blame them, blame yourself for not throwing a sawbuck to the guy to "be careful".

    After reading previous reviews, my wife and I went in with an open mind. We were greeted graciously and seated promptly. It was all down hill after that. My wife's drink was awful and had to be changed. They got my drink wrong. The presentation of food samples was not needed......I know what meat and potatos look like. Besides, the guy spoke so fast and with such a heavy accent that we didn't understand a word he said. I requested anchovies on the side with my Ceasar salad, and they arrived when I was half way through with it. The creamed spinach for 2 was served ICE cold and had to be sent back. It returned warm, but neither of us thought it tased good at all. My steak was WAY overcooked and sent back. I came back undercooked but I didn't say anything. My wife's lobster tail ( which we were told was 14 oz..........hmmmmmmmm.....I doubt it) came out burnt on one end and RAW on the other. At this point we were tired of sending stuff back. At these prices (46 for the ribeye and 54 for the tail) it was inexcusable. I cannot comprehend the crowd. Terrible. Even at half the price...........terrible.

    Food is good...But service is subpar !!!: Food is ok. Service is terrible, especially front reception. Those people are not too friendly "no courtesy" not what you would expect from a high end steakhouse. I had way better service at outback then there. Waited over 1 hour with reservation "What's the point of reservation?".
