User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThis is an excellent music store, one of the best I've had the pleasure of taking lessons at. Their staff is made up of probably the most helpful people you could find working at a music store, or anywhere else for that matter. They've helped me countless times with guitar troubles, and their staff has an unbelievable amount of music knowledge. I could not ask for a better music store.

I desperately needed to rent a tuba for my son. I called and they provided me with great pricing. Although, they told me they'd have to check for the availability. Great start! They took my name and number and told me they'd call me back. Thought they'd forgotten about me so I gave them a buzz, they still had no idea whether they had a Tuba or not. They said they'd call me the next day, again, they didn't so I called back. They still didn't know, now I was getting upset. I called later on that same day, I was put on hold for about 10mins. I hung up and called back, someone finally told me that they had no Tuba's available. I felt that they knew this for a while but didn't tell me and as a result I missed a chance at renting from someone else who did have it available. I would not recommend this place to no one. Very unprofessional!!

I took lessons there for about a year, and it is definitely my favorite guitar shop. The guys there knew what they were talking about, and really befriended you. It was great. Now, even though I stopped taking lessons, I still go there whenever I need a new pack of strings or anything else.
Laconia is simply the best.

Laconia is a great store with professional people. They know what they are talking about and are very honest. They put you on hold because they acctually have other customers to attend to.
I couldn't agree with jesseacruz above more!!!! The customer service at this store is horrendous!!!! I have been waiting for a better oboe for my son for months and get the run around every time I call them. They NEVER return a phone call. Ever!!!!!!!!! If I could rent an oboe from any other location I would but unfortunately this is the only location in our area. Stinks!!!!!!
