Company Information: Peter Luger's is arguably the best steakhouse in New York City, making it well worth the trip to Brooklyn. This place has been serving top quality beef for over 100 years. Porterhouse is the only cut they offer, and after taking a bite you will understand why it is inarguably divine. Service could be better, not to mention the bland sides of sliced tomatoes and creamed spinach, but if it is steak you are really after, who cares?

Peter Luger's time has past! The place is extremely dated and and in need of serious renovation. The hype about the food is all hype. While the food is good, it is nothing to write home about. If you are a fan of Ruth Chris or Flemings Steakhouses, you will be extremely disappointed. I would not discourage anyone from at least trying it out, however, I won't be back anytime soon.... Also, the ridiculous cash only policy is not very attractive either so be sure to load up at the ATM...!

If you are going to PL's for the ambiance, by all means head over to Ruth Chris. If you want the best tasting steak and sauce in all of New York, Luger's is still the place to go.

I had a good time many years ago. I was with some big money guys in the sanitation business. I would not have been allowed without them. Dress code thing and all. I guess it is cool to feel special but it sucks when you can't always have a good time at a place. Food is good. Over priced?- Never for the beef if you are a beef fan. STEAK A+++ I had some fish- LOL drowned

I've eaten steaks around the globe and still when I come home, this place takes top place. It has not only consistently been excellent, but above and beyond other steakhouses. The steaks have the right ratio of marbling, and served traditionally. Go during the weekday to avoid crowds.
