About:Anyone desiring to meet a starving artist might want to check out Williamsburg's Black Betty. It is a very local but very fun hangout for the loft dwellers of the neighborhood. The Mediterranean restaurant and bar has a lounge feel, complete with comfortable couches and fancy drink choices including some weird martinis. There are also a few interesting bar snacks like foccaccia. The small dining room features such dishes as lamb and chicken couscous.

Awesome awesome food. Really pleasant waitstaff. If the weather is nice, get a seat outside and load up on delicious mediterranean food!

Black Betty: This is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. The décor is very romantic and they have a pretty garden seating area when the weather is nice. Attached to the restaurant there’s a low key night club that gets rather busy but is a lot of fun. The crowd tends to be easy going and unpretentious which is refreshing. They usually have Brazilian, funk or old school dance music. May I recommend the spinach filo pastry and the mussels is garlic broth. Yumm.
