| About: | Sotto Voce, a quiet and local Italian eatery has quickly developed an intense following in its Brooklyn neighborhood due to a pleasant setting and good food. From perfectly cooked pastas like the homemade Fettuccini and heartier fare like Veal Medallions, it would be hard to go wrong. Linen tablecloths, exposed brick walls and big front windows make the space pleasant, inviting and casually elegant. Payment is in cash only. Afterwards, the pleasant stretch of Seventh Avenue between 4th Street and Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope is a great place to stroll and window shop. |

My Sotto Voce experience was not an overly pleasant one. The four of us were seated quickly in the outdoor area. The concrete there was on a slant so it required a good balance not to tip over. The food was good but the portions were very small for the price. We left somewhat hungry. The waiteress took the order accurately but was not knowleable about the food or wine. She had no problem however, chasing us down the street because she miscalculated the money we have given her and thought we did not cover the whole bill (even though we did). Will I come back there? No. The restaurant across the street from Sotto Voce I enjoyed much more.
Nice Little Place: This is a nice little Italian restaurant in Park Slope. Even though it was small, my boyfriend and I still felt like we were able to have our own intimate space. The ambiance was really nice, dimly lit with old salsa classics playing in the background. The food was good and so was the service. The waitress stopped by frequently and our wine glasses were kept full. Next time I think we may just order a bottle verses ordering by the glass. If you are in the area and want to have a nice dinner for two this is a place I'd recommend.
A perfect Little Italian Restaurant: My boyfriend and I are hooked. I have been back to this eatery 3 times in about 3 weeks! Took an friend from out-of-town there, took my beau there to celebrate a special occasion then returned just because it the food and ambiance are so great! I plan on returning again soon. A great neighborhood place. Run don't walk to Sotto Voce.
