Not for Sunday Brunch: This past Sunday (1/22), some girlfriends and I went to this restaurant after Church. The atmosphere is very nice. There's a pianist playing the piano, and there was also light jazz music piped in when the pianist wasn't playing.
The atmosphere, however, was not the problem. The service was. Although we had a very nice waitress, our food came in dribs and drabs. Three of my girlfriends ordered chicken and waffles, one ordered chicken and pancakes, another one ordered grits, eggs, and salmon, another ordered eggs, sausage and home fries, and I had the waffles and bacon. They bought the grits/salmon/eggs, and sausage/eggs/hash browns out first. By the time they bought everyone else's, my two girlfriends who got their food first were finished eating. One order of the three chicken and waffles, came without the waffles. They brought the chicken, but not the waffles. I had actually gotten my waffles before my girlfriend who had the chicken and waffles without the waffles.
It got to a point where we were wondering if they only had one waffle iron. My girlfriend who ordered the chicken and pancakes, got the pancakes, but no chicken. It came about 5 minutes later.
Well, maybe I should give them the benefit of the doubt. After all, this was a Sunday afternoon (1:45 p.m.). Maybe Brunch is not their big forte. I am told their dinner is good, but I'm not so sure I want to give that a try...
