   Special Place: While the service isn't speedy, I find it very friendly and relaxed... just what you want in a local place. The quality food and a nice atmosphere make it a favorite of mine. I hate places that make you feel rushed or guilty lingering with friends over the large cups of cafe con leche. The food is excellent, including a wide variety of fresh juices which often include cactus, guava, watermelon and other not-so-common beverages. The yucca hash browns alone are worth the trip! I have yet to take someone there who didn't want to go back... and soon.

   Slower than the BQE: Beso's food is pleasant, if nothing to shout about. However, the abysmally slow service means you should plan about 2 hours time for a 1 hour meal. Experience the joy of feeling people waiting for a table stare into the back of your head while the waiters studiously ignore your requests for the bill.
