   MoreBrooklyn Birthing Center is the only free-standing birthing facility in the New York metro area. Low-risk clients can give birth in the comfort of our private, home-like birthing suites. Clients who want or need to deliver in a hospital setting can birth with our midwives at the nearby Maimonides Medical Center. In addition to these services, we sponsor classes in childbirth education, breastfeeding, and newborn care. A lactation consultant and a social worker are available on-site by appointment. Brooklyn Birthing Center is staffed by the Brooklyn Midwifery Group. Our board-certified midwives offer well-woman visits, family planning, and BRCA testing in addition to obstetric care. We accept most major insurance plans, including Medicaid. Clients can now schedule office visits at three convenient Brooklyn locations: Midwood, Park Slope, and Williamsburg.
