Just like the other reviewer, I had tr done in July 2008. It still looks great! I'll need to have it re-done where the new roots have grown in, but the straightened hair still looks awesome. I was really suprized at how soft it is. Definetly nothing like my natural hair.

I also live in NJ and would pay alot more to have it done here!!!!

If you're thinking of having tr done consider JJ's you won't be disapointed. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend this salon. I got the TR treatment done on August 9, 2008 and it was a great experience. Here’s why:

Excellent Service - Very attentive and nice

Pricing was more than fair (including my trim, the products, and tip, I spent less than I had in NJ)

It’s been over a month and after 100 degree weather, a lot of stress, 60 hour work weeks, and not really taking care of my hair, it’s still like the day I left the salon!!!!! I am extremely happy with the results. Even after everything I’ve gone through, it is still perfect! Sometimes I wash and go and don’t blow dry and it still looks good.

Following is a more detailed description of my experience, so if you have time read it.

I live in NJ and I've gotten the TR treatment done a few times in the past 6 years. I had a stylist I liked, but unfortunately she is no longer available in my area. When I started looking for a new stylist I found a lot of salons who were “experts” in the field, but none of them convinced me to try them. I found JJ’s looking online and reading the reviews. I e-mailed them and I liked the response. I told my sister about it and we both decided to risk it and try them out. Mind you we live in North Jersey so it’s at least a 1 hour drive without traffic, but we liked what we were told and took the risk. Since I know that some of you may have questions I’ll give you as much details as I can about my experience.

    1. Location – If you are coming in from out of town and don’t know the area, be advised that the number is 34B Northern Blvd, and the cross street is 147th St. (Confused us when we went)

    2. Parking was not a problem, but we went on a Sunday morning so we parked in the street

    3. Reception – when we walked in everyone was extremely nice. They take care of you like if you were royalty and are very pleasant, even if you don’t speak Korean.

    4. As soon as you put on the robe, you have 2 people minimum working on you at all times. I love that! There is never a time when you are sitting there waiting or being ignored.

    5. The TR treatment takes about 5 to 6 hours depending on the length of your hair, etc. I have very long hair, but it is also very thin. I went in with a lot of damaged ends and I loved that I had 3 stylists looking at my hair to find the best solution not to damage it more. They had a discussion and then consulted with me about the best course of action. The procedure was done properly, with a lot of care, and with two stylists working on me at the same time. Anything I needed (holding my book/asking if I needed a drink) between getting up to wash it out, or move to another area was taken care of by an attendant. Very attentive!

    6. After the process was done I had a trim, bought some products, and sat down to wait for my sister who was not done yet. We got there about 11:00 and left around 4:30. The price was better than I expected and the products we bought work well with the treatment.

When I’m ready to do it again, I’m definitely going back. It’s worth the travel time to get that kind of service. Thanks JJ’s!
