User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsA Fantastic Voyage: This museum is virtually brand new, having opened in 2002. Through an impressive collection, displayed in a thought-provoking manner in a well-designed facility, they quite wonderfully capture Long Island's vital contribution to the history of aviation. That it is housed in a former hangar of Mitchel Field adds significantly to the thematic value. Some displays leave a bit to be desired, but it is generally a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend a visit.
